Spurs To Launch Kameni Bid

Tottenham boss Juande Ramos is apparently eyeing a summer move for Espanyol keeper Carlos Kameni, something that probably spells the end of Paul Robinson's career at White Hart Lane.

The British press are reporting that Spurs have struck a €7m (£4.5m) deal with the Spanish club for the Cameroon shotstopper, who is now discussing personal terms with the Lilywhites.

An agreement could be signed and sealed whin the next few weeks, although Kameni would obviously have to wait until the end of the season before linking up with his new club.

It is reported that Tottenham will put an offer of £30,000-a-week and a three-year contract on the table for the keeper, though Kameni himself is understood to favour a longer tie-up.

Robinson's Days Numbered

Either way, it seems likely that a deal will be struck, almost certainly spelling the end of Paul Robinson's tenure at White Hart Lane. The England international is said to be attracting interest from both Middlesbrough and Aston Villa.
